Structural Surveys
Structural Surveys are required for many reasons. If you are concerned about the condition of your property or you are trying to secure a mortgage and have been asked to obtain a Structural Engineer’s Report then we can help.
We offer a range of surveys to identify structural problems. There are two basic types:
General Structural Survey – this is when we survey the whole property to determine its condition and provide a report which highlights any structural defects that we may have found.
Specific Defect Survey – If your property has an isolated defect then we can survey the affected area and prepare a report as requested.
Surveys for Subsidence / Insurance Claims
At LGA we understand how stressful it can be dealing with insurance claims so we also provide independent advice to assist with subsidence / fire / impact claims.
Initially you may require us to prepare a report in order to commence the claims procedure, but additionally we can provide advice surrounding your insurance policy and liaising with your insurance company.
Alterations to Existing Buildings
If you are proposing to alter your house or building by removing walls, extending the property or even building a loft conversion there are certain things you will need to ensure before you begin.
We can determine the structure of the building and prepare the necessary structural calculations so that the project can obtain the required Building Regulation approvals.
